Fasonado concrete large size planks for Bristol Harbourside, UK

As part of Bristol Harbourside, the Brunel Mile Public Walkway is fully finished and paved with concrete large size planks.

Bristol Harbourside is a mixed use development that gives a new boost to the historic waterfront. Grant associates was responsible for designing the public realm of this 6.6 hectare scheme including the last part of the Brunel Mile, the connection between the old city and the harbour. For the final part of the Millenium Promenade we supplied large size planks, staircases and landing and benches. All elements have the same colour and finishing. Due to the Ferro (shot blasted) finish, the yellow granite aggregates from the concrete composition are visible. Thanks to this finishing, the surfaces of the large size planks and the stairs have sufficient slip resistance. A number of step units were also produced for this project, with recesses for rubber inserts.
