Curved step units at the entrance of Kinepolis in Antwerp, BELGIUM

The staircase at the entrance of the Kinepolis cinema in Antwerp is made up of curved step units with a non-slip Finerro surface.
Kinepolis cinema is with 24 screens and 7368 seats the largest cinema complex in the city of Antwerp. In order to better guide the large influx of visitors to the entrance, the stairs at the entrance have been renovated. Urbastyle supplied the curved step units. The non-slip finerro surface and a grey granite colour were chosen. The surface is first ground to make the aggregates visible, after that the surface is shot blasted. The curved step units are equipped with a chamfer edge to minimize damage. For this project the curved step units were custom-made to connect to the existing underlying structure.
