The Queen Elisabeth Hall has an exceptional history and has always been closely linked to the Zoo of Antwerp. The stairwell that served as a connection to the zoo for years needed a thorough renovation. The designers ensured that the look and feel merged seamlessly with the beautiful historical building. Before the large size slabs, step units, wall coverings and cladding went into production, several samples were presented and discussed in order to finally come to the perfect match. Accessibility for the disabled is ensured by the use of a ramp with large format tiles. All visible sides have a finerro finishing guaranteeing sufficient slip resistance. The large size slabs as well as the step units, wall coverings and cladding were manufactured in 3 colour nuances.
